Knowledge management is important to 97% of leaders; what role is AI expected to play?
97% of leaders recognize the importance of knowledge management. Consider the role of AI in maximizing its value.
The sharing and utilization of knowledge and know-how is essential for all organizations, and 97% of business leaders recognize the importance of a framework for this purpose (knowledge management).
However, the majority of organizations have yet to create such a mechanism, and 73% have yet to put it into practice, with the dispersion and siloing of information seen as the biggest challenge.
This leads to internal miscommunication and operational inefficiencies, which in turn leads to business risks.
AI (Generative AI) is attracting attention as a solution to this situation.
Eighty-six percent of survey respondents expected AI to solve issues such as dispersion of knowledge, silos, and immature organizational culture, leading to more efficient operations, improved CX (customer experience) and EX (employee experience), and even spurring innovation.
On the other hand, AI and related technologies are still considered to be in the process of evolution, with only 3% of organizations currently employing AI for knowledge management.
Only 24% are considering it, and 17% are in the pilot or early implementation stages.
However, some organizations that are already using AI are achieving significant results that go beyond traditional problem solving.
This report reiterates the value that AI brings to knowledge management, and reports on the actual utilization status and results based on the latest survey results.
The report also introduces the voices of organizations that have not yet taken the plunge to introduce AI, while also explaining the challenges and future prospects of AI, and provides an insight into the “where we are now” in AI in knowledge management.
