Typical changes in the latest 2025 CDP response

The 2025 CDP questionnaire was released in April.
This year’s questionnaire has undergone some changes to improve the clarity and usability of the answers, but the questions themselves have not changed significantly and can still be answered as before.

Three major changes are explained below.

1. mandatory currency response – clearer financial disclosure
In Module 1 (Introduction), the currency used in financial information disclosed through the CDP is now required in Question 1.2.
Question 1.5 also includes guidance on how to handle cases where the reporting boundary of the CDP response does not match the boundary of the financial statements and how to report exclusions, enabling more accurate information disclosure.

2. multiple certificates of third-party verification can now be attached – to reduce the burden of responses
In Module 7 (Environmental Performance – Climate Change), questions 7.9.1, 7.9.2, and 7.9.3 now allow multiple certificates of third-party verification to be attached.
This allows for the submission of related certificates together and reduces the burden of answering the question. There is no change to the content of the response.

3) Improved guidance for easier understanding and smoother responses
Also in Module 7, the guidance for energy-related questions has been revised.
This improves consistency and clarity across questions, eliminates unnecessary repetition, and makes for smoother responses.
