Realization of a skills-based organization

In the rapidly changing business environment of recent years, there has been a growing interest in “skill-based organizations,” particularly in the United States.

This model has been attracting attention as an approach that allows for flexible and rapid response by building and managing an organization around the skills of employees, rather than the traditional job- and role-based personnel allocation.
As the importance of human capital management is increasing in Japanese companies, there is an urgent need to develop a “skill map” to grasp the skills of each employee and link them to appropriate human resource allocation and development.

However, the following issues tend to occur in actual workplaces.
It is difficult to identify the tasks and skills…
The design of evaluation criteria tends to be impersonal…
The created skill maps are not utilized in the field…

This session will explain the concrete steps from skill map design to operation and utilization in an easy-to-understand manner, with examples of successes and failures at other companies.
We will introduce “common problems” in Skill Map operation and how to solve them, with examples from other companies.

For those who are considering the transition to a “Skill-Based Organization” and those who are experiencing challenges in implementing and utilizing Skill Map, this seminar will provide you with useful information!
